My dad and best friend in life passed away last Wednesday age 64.

HDR experiment with a single Raw image.
Just experimenting with High Dynamic Range (HDR) from a single RAW file. As you can see the result can be processed both realistic (like our own eyes see/register things) or a bit over the top which gives a result that is more like a piece of Art or a drawing.
For the processing 5 images where created from a single Raw image. There are steps of 1.5 exposure correction between the created images. After processing the HDR with Photomatix it was Tone mapped in Photomatix as well, with this final two images as a result.

This is a new image from a December 2008 shoot. This year the project is bigger then ever because now all four sides of Town Hall are in polychromatic light projections. It is really amazing! If you have the time come and visit the city of Gouda during this event, it is a truly unique!

It sold for virtually nothing, but that seems to be the way these days in stock photography!
I just last night found out one of my images was used as a book cover…
I was browsing the web using a very cool tool called TinEye (you just feed it a photo and it gives you back all occurrences of that photo in their database) and found this book cover.
I am now in the process of finding out where they obtained their license as I cannot remember to have seen any payment for this yet.
and it sold already to a national newspaper in the UK (print run 500.000). Keep an eye out for me and if you have a copy of the paper it would be greatly appreciated if you send me the page or a copy.
